How can I schedule a Court Reporter with State Shorthand?

How do I get confirmation that you have received my scheduling information?
However you schedule your deposition with us, you will always receive the following:
- Confirmation of Scheduling Worksheet within 24 hours
- Telephone call to confirm the day prior to the proceeding
When can I expect your reporter to arrive?
State Shorthand’s court reporters arrive on site 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your proceeding, which provides the court reporters enough time to setup their equipment. Having a cell phone or direct dial number to someone that can help the court reporter gain access to the conference room prior to the firm opening for an early morning start will help ensure the proceeding starts on time.
When can I expect State Shorthand’s videographer to arrive?
State Shorthand’s videographers arrive on site 30-45 minutes before the scheduled start time of your proceeding. It is particularly important to allow the videographers time to setup their equipment. Having a cell phone or direct dial number to someone that can help the videographer gain access to the conference room prior to the firm opening for an early morning start will help ensure the proceeding starts on time.
Do I need software to use State Shorthand Online?
No. State Shorthand online is 100% web-based. All you need is access to the Internet, your password and a State Shorthand-supplied user ID.
How long can we store transcripts, etc., in the repository?
As long as your firm is taking depositions with State Shorthand or as instructed otherwise, we will maintain the repository for you. In addition, State Shorthand retains transcripts and videos for ten years at a minimum; however, we have transcripts dating back more than 16 years. In addition, we maintain independent data centers to back up and retain data off site in the event of an emergency.
Is there a fee to store information in the repository, monthly maintenance charges, or set up costs?
No. State Shorthand’s online repository is FREE of charge for clients taking depositions through State Shorthand.
Do you back up information?
Absolutely. State Shorthand safeguards your information to the highest standards. From internally managing our repository data to our state of the art datacenter in Oakhurst, New Jersey. All of State Shorthand’s systems are designed to minimize disruption to our business and yours. In the unlikely event of a system failure, State Shorthand maintains redundant back-up systems to ensure that we are operational within 4-hours of such an event.
